| This is the first time in a long time that I've been on Xanga. Once I started college, facebook seemed like the fast-track way to keep in touch with people. This is far more personal, in my opinion. I'll fill everyone in on what has happened in the past few years that I've neglected to blog. - My brother and his wife had a baby, making me an uncle for the first time.
- College life is okay, but not as fun as highschool.
- I began to study the harp this year. I'll post a video of what I've been working on.
- I've been kind of sad here at Miami. I might transfer to Wright State.
- My brother and his wife are going to have another baby!
I'm going to be more active in blogging when finals are over. Is everyone still here? What is this Twitter thing? Xanga seems a lot more complicated now-a-days. I love all of you! | | |
| I'm in love with the opera! I saw my first opera performance...twice this week. The music company here at Miami performed Mozart's 'The Magic Flute'. Opera is amazing to say the least. It kinda sucks though, because I was just one chair away from being able to perform. I'm doing other concerts, but to play in an opera is freakn' cool! | | |
| >Edit< I'm happy to say that my sweaters are fine I'm in the basement of my dorm, Clawson Hall, doing laundry in the wee hours of the morning. I'm going to start making a habit of washing my cloths earlier, seeing how I never count on the two hours I have to wait for them to complete their cycles. I'm washing my sweaters for the first time in my life. I hope they don't shrink... this is a first for me, and I don't know what to expect. I don't wear my sweaters much, or 'sweat' in them, but there comes a time in every sweaters life when it needs to go through the laundry... Yeah, I'm rambling. Its 2:00am, and I'm a bit tired. I don't expect anyone to receive any gratification from reading this meaningless post, but I thought I'd update just the same. :) | | |
| Hi everyone. It's been so long since I've posted anything here. If anyone is still alive out there, say hello ;) I'm in college now, going to Miami University. Things are okay here, but I miss all my friends from home. I'm sure I have pictures I could post, but I'm sure most of you are my friends on facebook, so you could just see them there. -thanks Jen for getting me hooked on facebook...it now runs my life- haha. Not much to report on my life. Hope to see some of you over the holidays! Sincerely, ~Joel | | |
| Well, I'm back from Virginia for good. This is the first time I've lived at home in about ten months. It feels good to be back in Ohio, though its really humid here. I hate the heat already! Speaking of heat, one of my dads tenants burned their house down. That is, the house we were renting to them. Haha. We've been trying to get rid of them because they suck as tenants. Well, I guess God smoked them out. The lady is an ex-crack addict, and she left food on the stove which caught fire. What had happened was their electricity was turned off by the electric company due to unpaid bills. They must have been in the middle cooking when that happened. I guess she didn't feel the need to turn the oven off, or remove the food because there was no electricity. So, early the next morning, the electricity was restored to the house, and it burned down. My dad has fire insurance, so we can restore the house. I shouldn't say it burned down, since its still standing. It just needs a new kitchen and a paint job. Another funny thing is that the lady responsible complained of suffering from smoke inhalation. This being said to attract some pity. She was seen the next morning smoking on her porch. | | |
